New Mechatronics Center: Bringing Latest Tech to China and Beyond

Magna is meeting the demand for mechatronics in the expanding China market, as well as globally, with the opening of a new mechatronics engineering center in Suzhou in the Jiangsu Province.

The Magna specialty, which combines mechanical and electrical engineering as well as embedded software, is a critical element on the road to smart features and vehicle access technology.
Our mechatronics engineers are known for developing game-changing products like SmartAccess and SmartLatch that are changing the way consumers access their vehicles.

The new center seeks to hire more than 100 new software and hardware engineers to bolster the current staff of 110 engineers who are relocating from Magna’s previous engineering center in Kunshan.

The team will be dedicated to coming up with “new ways of interacting with your vehicle,” said John O’Hara, president of Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting.
